Oatbedient Milk Carton Planter DIY

Materials Needed:
  • Empty Oat M!lk Barista (1L) carton
  • Scissors
  • Potting soil
  • Seeds or small plants
  • Optional paint/brushes for decoration

    Instructions:

First off, make sure your oat milk carton is truly empty of any oat-y goodness. Clean it out with a quick rinse in the sink and let it dry thoroughly. There’s several handy ways to craft your DIY planter with the help of a trusty pair of scissors. You can:

Cut your oat milk carton in half. The herbs are planted in the top (folded) portion, the half with the white cap. The top half is then inserted into the bottom half, which serves as a drip tray.
Cut your oat milk carton lengthwise. Use the same pair of scissors to cut out one side of your oat milk carton. This way, you have more room to plant your herbs in a cute little row. Poke some drainage holes at the bottom side, too.

Use the upcycled planters as-is, or have some fun decorating them with paint!

Once you have decorated your DIY planter, pat in some quality potting soil along with the seeds of your favorite herbs.

And you’re done: Place your oat milk carton planter in a sunny location, like on a windowsill, and water regularly.
